Biography of Bonita Alice Bonita Alice was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1962. She completed a BA Fine Art at the University of the Witwatersrand and received an MFA from the Michaelis School of Fine Arts (University of Cape Town, South Africa, 1990). She worked as an art educator in Johannesburg until becoming a full-time artist in 2004. She relocated to London in 2007, and has a studio in East London. Recently her interests have shifted to include the study of animal-human relations. She is currently exploring related ideas in the context of environmental discourse as well as in relation to her own art practice. She is working with the directors of a proposed new liberal arts university in London to develop courses and set up programmes.
